Award Ceremony for the 100th Year Sports Festival Held at MAKÜ

Within the scope of the 100th Anniversary Sports Festivals of our Republic, the 100th Anniversary Cross Country Race was held at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ).

Approximately 50 athletes gathered in front of the Rectorate Building of the Istiklal Campus started the race with the start given by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar. The 3 km race, which started in front of the Rectorate building, ended at MAKÜ Istiklal Stadium.

Within the scope of the 100th Anniversary Sports Festivals of our Republic, medals were presented to the athletes who ranked in the competitions held in badminton, darts, table tennis, cross country, and squash branches for 2 weeks at the ceremony held at Istiklal Stadium.

The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, academic staff, administrative staff, and students.

The award ceremony started with the presentation of awards to the athletes who ranked in the competitions held last week.

In the sports festivals attended by approximately 200 athletes, the athletes who ranked in badminton were awarded by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, the athletes who ranked in darts were awarded by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, the athletes who ranked in squash were awarded by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, and the athletes who ranked in table tennis and the 100th Anniversary Cross Country Race were awarded by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar.
